I’m Back!

I realize it’s been a while since I’ve done one of these.  The holidays were quite crazy, and now work has ramped up quite a bit as well.  However, I’m coming back with a vengeance, dang it–and there’s plenty going on in Hearthstone right now!

I already hit Rank 5 this month, in the same game where I also earned my Golden Paladin.  It feels incredible to not only have another class knocked out, but also not have to worry about any late-month pushes to 5 (as I did in December).  I admit, I owe my climb so far to Secret Paladin–specifically a deck that still runs [Ragnaros].  That dude is just such a big late game threat, and he busts up Freeze Mages real good.

Real good.

Now, the question is…to push or not to push?  I do get Martin Luther King Day off, which would be a great day to plug away at some games. But at the moment I’m floundering around, and not really finding a deck that’s really jiving with me right now.

The new Tempo Storm meta snapshot lists Midrange Druid atop its charts, and while I have a lot of experience with decks like that one, for some reason I find difficulty climbing the ladder with it.  Again, I’ve spent entire months using that sort of deck before (hence why Druid was my first Golden class) to no avail. Should I just try it out anyway and go for broke?  Or would I be wiser to invest my time in something like Zoo Warlock, where win or lose I’m still at least working toward another golden class?

These are the questions plaguing me this month.  I’m sure some of you can relate.  Let me know what you think I should do in the comments below, because I’m genuinely torn. When I finally settle on something, I’ll post up a Deck Slot article on it, to be certain.  In the meantime, Happy New Year to everyone, and remember to crush your opponents!
